Mineralized cement-bond wood fibre is produced by the union of two truly excellent building materials, wood and cement. Mixing wood fibre, water and cement to a natural mineral leads to the mineralization of the wood. Mineralization allows the wood to lose its organic properties, making it inert and thus resistant to external agents, such as insects, parasites and mould.
At the same time, mineralization conserves the thermo-acoustic insulating characteristics of the wood. The porosity of the material also guarantees the breathability of the wall, allowing for the natural adjustment of humidity (extremely low resistance to the passage of vapour, μ = 5,9) and preventing the formation of condensation and mould. The result is exceptionally comfortable living conditions in rooms and considerable energy savings, which translate to lower costs of heating in winter and cooling in summer.
Research and innovation Isotex have led to the study and implementation of a new block model. From the technical point of view the new blocks have been designed with ribs 2 instead of 3, obtaining a layer of insulating material significantly more continuous and homogeneous. Moreover, thanks at the new Partnership with BASF-NEOPOR® Isotex can guarantee an insulation capacity major than 20 % respect at the Formwork with the traditional EPS.
