ISOTEX highlights the many differences, both technical and in compliance with current regulations, between its building system and that of other manufacturers of wood cement blocks and floors. Precisely because of these distinctive characteristics, 8 times out of 10, the choice of operators in the construction sector falls on ISOTEX.
You should verify competitors of wood cement blocks and floors have the same certifications and laboratory tests in accordance with current regulations, otherwise there is a risk that the buildings are not in compliance. In the case of public buildings where compliance with the MEC is binding, it could lead to cancellation of the contract.

Isotex fully complies with the provisions of paragraph “2. Experimental characterisation “, having carried out all the planned experimental tests, testing the block range currently marketed and adopting the single reinforcement.
CE Marking
- CE marking of formwork blocks: it is carried out in compliance with the product standard EN 15498 in the AVCP 4 system. In addition, the building system is regulated by ETA 08/0023 (European Technical Assessment) in the AVCP 2+ system, with periodic monitoring by the notified body. The ETA is issued on the basis of the European Assessment Documents: EAD 340309-00-0305 (non-structural) and EAD 340309-00-0305-v01 (structural).
- CE marking of floors: it is carried out in compliance with the product standard EN 15037-1 in AVCP 2+ system, with periodic monitoring by the Notified Body.
Isotex exoskeleton, seismic and energy adaptation of existing buildings
In full compliance with current technical standards, Isotex proposes, with specific technical support documentation prepared by the University of Pavia, the intervention with Isotex Exoskeleton to adapt existing buildings seismically and energetically, through the use of Isotex blocks.
360° fire safety
The fire certifications, shown below, allow full compliance with RTV 13 (Ministerial Decree 30 March 2022), in force since 7 July 2022. A harmonised European standard on façade fire behaviour is expected to be published in the near future.
- Reaction to fire in accordance with EN13501-1 – B-s1,d0 (with and without EPS insulation)
- Fire resistance in accordance with EN13501-2 –REI 120 for loaded walls (not plastered) with Isotex formwork blocks. REI 240 for loaded Isotex Floors (not plastered)
- Facade fire behaviour in accordance with French standard no. 249 version 2010 for facades (also recognised in Italy) . Fully passed LEPIR II test
Full compliance with MEC Requirements (Ministerial Decree of 23 June 2022)
ISOTEX blocks and floors fully meet all MEC requirements, in force since 4 December 2022, including those of a pre-eminent nature. Compliance with the MEC Decree is mandatory in the event of a public contract and failure to comply will result in the cancellation of the contract.
Certificates of thermal transmittance
The ANIT thermal transmittance certificates for block walls and Isotex floors were carried out according to the criteria of UNI 10355 and UNI EN ISO 6946. They were carried out in full compliance with the regulations in force indicated above and using a three-dimensional finite element calculation program, validated according to EN 10211/1.
Certification for environmental sustainability and environmental health
- EPD (Environmental Declaration of Type III Products) on the entire Isotex product range, in compliance with standard UNI EN 15804 and standard UNI EN ISO 14025
- Specific compliance with the criteria set out in the Voluntary Sustainability Protocols: Itaca Residential Protocol (UNI Pdr 13:2019 Residential, version 2023) LEED® protocol v4 (BD+C: New construction) DNSH criteria defined in the context of PNRR contracts
- VOC (Volatile organic compounds) test in compliance with UNI EN 16516 and UNI EN ISO 16000-9
Acoustic insulation and sound absorption
- Laboratory test: measurement of the sound insulating power (acoustic insulation) of blocks and floors in accordance with standards UNI EN ISO 140-3, UNI EN ISO 717-1 (blocks and floors), UNI EN ISO 10140-2 (blocks), UNI EN ISO 140-6, UNI EN ISO 717-2 (floors)
- Laboratory test: measurement of the sound absorption coefficient (sound absorption) in accordance with UNI EN ISO 354 and UNI EN ISO 11654 standards.
