ISOTEX has paid the utmost attention to environmental protection and safeguarding the health and safety of people in all phases connected to the production process ever since the establishment of the first production plant in 1985.
This commitment has always accompanied company decisions and has been proven by the achievement of numerous certifications, the latest being the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
The type III environmental label (EPD) compliant with UNI EN 15804 and ISO 14025 standards, is an information document that provides quantitative data on the environmental profile of a product, based on a life cycle assessment (LCA) to quantify the environmental impact using a life cycle approach. EPD certification does not define acceptability limit values for the impact indicators but has the objective of providing in a transparent manner details of the environmental impacts associated with the analysed product.
All these sheets are verified by an independent third party (Type III Declaration – ISO 14025). In addition, for the leading blocks in the range, namely HDIII 38/14 and HDIII 44/20 with expanded polystyrene insulation with graphite and HDIII 38/14 with cork insulation, ISOTEX has created FDESs, verified by an accredited AFNOR which are available in the INIES Base and on Eco-platform.
The obligation to verify the FDES by an independent third party body came into effect (in France) from 1st July 2017.
Buildings created according to eco-sustainable criteria can significantly reduce the negative impacts on the environment. Therefore the choice of materials and construction methods, improved compared to those traditionally in use, is becoming mandatory and makes it possible to maintain a privileged position in the construction market due to the reduction of costs and consumption by both producers and end users, all with a view to sustainable growth that ISOTEX® has always pursued in developing its products.
Many building regulations, both locally (Regions) and nationally (CAM for public procurement) and internationally, have made the environmental impact data of the materials used mandatory.
