It is important to specify that the outer envelope accounts for 80% of the energy savings of a building, thus walls, floors and openings have decisive role. The insulation and insulating capabilities of construction materials are therefore fundamental for the construction of buildings that must comply with current and future standards required by increasingly stringent regulations.
The winning combination of Isotex wood cement formwork blocks and floors allows the elimination of thermal and acoustic bridges, guaranteeing superior energy performance. Isotex has also studied and developed its own Isotex building system, including in the range some special pieces and accessories such as the corner block, lintel, floor slab block, pillar block and shoulder block for doors and windows. This makes it possible to create buildings with the highest classification and energy efficiency A4, NZEB (Nearly Zero energy Building) and ZEB (Zero energy Building).
Energy saving. Here's how Isotex blocks and floors achieve the best energy classifications
The particular characteristics of formwork and floor blocks, the quality of the materials used and their geometry are the key to the high energy performance values that the Isotex wood cement building system can guarantee. The excellent thermal transmittance values of ISOTEX products, combined with the excellent characteristics of the other components required for the energy calculation, allow ISOTEX buildings to achieve the best energy classification, namely Class A4-NZEB-ZEB (zero consumption).
Blocks for external load-bearing walls have transmittance ranging from 0.34 to 0.15 W/m²K and from 0.79 to 0.56 W/m²K for internal load-bearing walls. As for panels, values range from 0.63 to 0.60 W/m²K for intermediate panels and from 0.24 to 0.28 W/m²K for floor and ceiling panels.

Wood cement, inert and insulating
Cement wood is obtained by mixing 100% recycled wood, water and cement with a natural mineral that allows the mineralisation of wood. Mineralisation makes the wood inert and therefore unaffected by fire and external agents and at the same time leaves the thermo-acoustic insulation characteristics of the wood unchanged.

Breathability, no moisture, condensation or mould
The porosity of the material also allows the complete transpiration of the wall and regulates its humidity, (resistance to the passage of very low vapour µ = 5.9) preventing the formation of condensation and mould. The result is excellent living comfort and considerable energy savings, which translates into a lower cost of winter heating and summer air conditioning.

Neopor® BMBcert Insulator from BASF
The partnership with BASF’s Neopor® BMBcert has made it possible to use an extremely innovative insulator, with high thermal insulation capacity (20% more than the formwork block with traditional EPS) and above all eco-sustainable as the insulator comes from renewable sources (Biomass), up to 100% recycled.

Two ribs for better insulation
Isotex’s research and innovation have led to the study and creation of a formwork block with 2 ribs instead of 3, obtaining a continuous and homogeneous layer of insulation. It also increased the load-bearing capacity by 45%.
