European Regulation and CE Marking
On 1 July 2013, the Construction Products Regulation (EU Reg. No. 305/2011) replaced the old Construction Products Directive (Dir. 89/106/EEC). Isotex immediately adapted to this new Regulation, preparing the expected “Declaration Of Performance” (Annex III of the Regulation) for all its products and without which it is not possible to affix the CE mark.

MEC, EPD, VOC and Green Building Certificates
The MEC (Minimum Environmental Criteria) requirements, contained in the Ministerial Decree of 23 June 2022, represent the specifications that material must have in order to fall into the categories of products that can be used for social construction, public construction (hospitals, nursing homes), school construction with PNRR incentives.
All Isotex products (blocks, floors and partitions) are compliant with MEC requirements. Isotex has obtained: Type III Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), certification for Green Building by ANAB (National Association of Bioecological Architecture), subjecting its products to periodic and thorough checks by the certifying body ICEA and ReMade In Italy product certification issued by the Bureau Veritas Institute, for EPS polystyrene inserts with Neopor® BMBcert graphite by BASF, which certifies the content of recycled material, in compliance with the provisions of paragraph 2.5.7 “Thermal and acoustic insulators” of the MEC Decree.
Isotex also obtains the Indoor Air Comfort and Indoor Air Comfort GOLD labels for the very low VOC emissions and the certificates of compliance with the main sustainability protocols such as the ITACA PROTOCOL, BREEAM, LEED credits and DNSH criteria (for works with PNRR). Isotex blocks, floors and partitions therefore allow us to satisfy the most stringent principles of Green Architecture, leading to the creation of buildings that stand out on the market for their level of excellence in terms of sustainability.
