Isotex was chosen for the new school complex in Massarosa
EXTRACT FROM “IL TIRRENO”… The school centre made using the Isotex wood cement building system is the largest public work made in Massarosa by the Mungai administration. And, strangely enough, it will be paid… in instalments. More than a school, it’s a kind of American-style campus. Inside, in fact, there is a bit of everything: a nursery for 20 children, a kindergarten with 90 seats and a primary school for 375 students, an octagonal gym and an outdoor sports area; a modern cooking centre with 400 daily meals and a dedicated kitchen for infants, three dining halls, a teacher’s library and an equipped park, two parking lots for 31 and 55 parking spaces.
A pharaonic work, costing over 5 million euros. “We were able to create the new school complex in Piano di Conca, thanks to an innovative formula that the Municipality of Massarosa used first in Italy and that won us many awards – explains Mayor Franco Mungai – I am proud to say that we were able to turn an idea into a project that was carried out in just 18 months. Record time, especially for public administration! Indeed, I would call it – he adds – a real miracle made possible thanks to the human resources of our Municipality and a team of artisan companies that have shown how small entrepreneurship is still alive and vital in our country. A real American-style “campus” has been created in Piano di Conca with this intervention, where children can go from kindergarten to middle school, thanks to the proximity of the buildings. A modern school built with innovative criteria: from construction techniques (formwork blocks and floors in ISOTEX wood cement), to the materials used, to the special attention paid to the disabled with paths for the blind, with large and comfortable classrooms equipped with considerable acoustic damping”. The complex was inaugurated on 31 January 2015, with a large party to which all citizens were invited.
